It
apparently seems like these days brunches are all what I am reviewing. But let
me assure you that there are others coming up very soon.
So
honestly when Zomato invited us for a brunch meetup at the Seasons in Hotel Movenpick
located on the Corniche, we were frankly not that excited since having visited
the restaurant on a previous occasion, we had found the cuisine only so-so.
However
the brunch I must say was a different story altogether.
There
was a lavish spread ranging from salads to sushi to a live laksa station,a live
tempura station and even a waffle counter. To add, the buffet also comprised of
soups, several other continental dishes, a cheese counter and desserts.
Another
major highlight especially for parents would be the exclusive kids section.
Movenpick surely got this one right because they surely knew that the parents
would be happy and contented customers if their kids were kept busy and
entertained. I loved the whole arrangement with the walls leading up to the
area being lined with spectacular Disney posters and a variety of kids’ food
and yes the ultimate, a huge jumping castle. The area also came with adult
supervision. In my opinion, I would be comfortable with leaving kids above the
ages of 6 in the area as the whole section is slightly distanced from the main
restaurant due to which parents would be unable to keep a constant eye required
for toddlers and pre-primary school kids.
The
food stations were arranged quite well and served in the centre of the
restaurant, ideal for customers seated on either end. Service also was a definite
plus.
Coming
to food, I absolutely loved the live tempura counter that I lost count of the
number of plates that we would have ordered (rather I would have found myself
in a quite embarrassing position had I counted ! ;) ) The tempura batter was
perfectly light and crispy with the prawns cooked to perfection. Infact I
wouldn’t going back to the restaurant for just them alone. It wasn’t just the
shrimp, even the vegetable tempura made from red peppers, aubergines were also amazing.
Another
interesting counter for an international buffet was the one serving Laksa- primarily
a Malaysian spicy noodle soup in a coconut broth with beautiful aromatics such
as coriander, galangal, lemongrass among many others. This especially would be
perfect during the winters. This was being served hot and to order.
Also
a hit among the sweet lovers in our group was the live waffle station being
served with fresh cream, nutella, strawberries.seasons
Overall,
we had an amazing time with the Zomato team keeping us entertained with
animated conversations and Movenpick with the food.
The
brunch packages offered were QAR 200 for the brunch and QAR 275 for the brunch +
unlimited beverages such as wine, wine cocktails, beer.

How interesting post!! I really liked reading these reviews about the brunch that you had at this restaurant. I am also planning to organize a brunch party for my company staff so I have been looking for a professional corporate event planning team for organizing this brunch party. If you know about any good planning company then please recommend!!
